Who W e Are

Masterbilt Models is a consortium of modelbuilders with individually diverse interests in 1/87-scale models but who have common goals and desires to share their creations with fellow modelers. Our current "Rogues' Gallery" includes:

Trip Aiken - Long time 1/87 scale modeler with numerous award-winning models to his credit, Trip has long been known for scratchbuilding and kitbashing unique models that weren't available through any other avenue. Trip went into the mail order model business specializing in hard-to-get 1/87-scale models, kits, parts, and accessories. His company, Truck Stop Models, can be found on the web at www.truckstopmodels.com.

Bob Johnson - Webmaster for the popular 1/87 Vehicle Club web site (www.1-87vehicles.org), Bob's involvement began with a "vision" of offering a conversion kit to convert the Herpa/Promotex Mack CH into a Mack CX (Vision). This odyssey has taken over two years and is slowly coming to fruition. This conversion model will be the signature launch product for Masterbilt Models and is just the first of many unique models we intend to share with our fellow 1/87 scale modelers.

Do you have a project you'd like to share with other modelers? Masterbilt Models exists solely for the purpose of providing an avenue for model craftsmen to get a project with specialty or limited appeal into commercial distribution. This usually means the product will be a resin reproduction or detail parts that lend themselves to photo-etching.

We will assist you in your efforts to get resin reproductions made of your original works, help you get distribution for your product or direct your efforts in ways that are productive and satisfying to you. It is not necessary that any project with which we offer assistance become a Masterbilt Models product offering. If we feel your product has any commercial viability, we'll be happy to add it to our product catalog if you wish but it is not a requirement to obtain our assistance; we are truly here to help!
